All descriptions in this manual refer to upper/lower case
versions except for Section 2.2.1 which describes the upper-case
only ("T") version.

Display-Line size which is a default -- see below). Any null
entries default to the value in effect before FRESS was invoked.

buffer sizes need to be defined to limit the scope of display
